The chamber concert was a nice experience. The concert began with a nice AlApanai of mAyAmALavagauLa and the kriti was rendered with neraval and svarams. The nATTaikuranji AlApanai was nice and the kriti was nice also. The main simmendramadhyamam AlApanai was elaborate with grahabedam to bauLi. The svarams were nice. The post tani pieces were good. Prof Narendran gave a nice concert and ably supported by Sri Varun

please don't follow the present custom of writing volumes about the main artiste and just mentioning a few words towards the end about the accompaniments.the accompanists too follow a rigorous practice schedule and have to receive equal, if not more, recognition and adulation.i thought that as a young and upcoming critic, you ought to know this.

well. i do take ur suggestion in the right way.

However, about percussion and playing percussion instruments, i am an illiterate and hence cant write more than a couple of lines at most. with fiddle, however, i'll try to follow and report more...

well then, i guess you learn more about percussion as well.only then you can be a complete authority over music as a whole.it is my sincere suggestion.therefore take it in the right sense!!!

i am not an authority. i dont aspire to become one either. yedho therinjatha kirukkindu irukken. to the extent possible, i report the truth and authentic information about concerts. I dont lie or bluff. And, all that i write, is my personal opinion.

will try to learn some fundaes about percussion, when time permits. there are many such long term goals in my ever extending long wishlist.
