madhyamAvati short sketch
It was a wonderful concert. Each piece was rendered beautifully and with a lot of charm by the veteran. The crystal clear precision and the vintage feel of the music were totally moving. Each piece was a masterpiece in itself. The AlApanais, the neraval and svarams and the kriti renditions were all superb. Smt. Nirmala on the second veenai shared some parts of the tanam, neraval and svarams. Sri Mali was ever so supportive and played very well.
