It was a good concert. The artist had a good sense of planning and presented things to the right measure. The alapanais were all very good. They were a good mix of the usual trademark phrases and some unorthodox sancharams interwoven well. The violinst replies were on par with the main artist if not a shade better. The neraval svaram sequences were all beautifully executed as well. The mridangist played to the kriti on all occasions and kept the momentum going. The kanjira vidwan ably supported him. The tani they shared was quite good also.

i had definitely to add that the concert was a memorable one. the sankeerna koraippu in the thani was worth mention which Sankar anna was quick in grasping and gave it back making the thani all the more interesting.
CS Sajeev has layam in his blood and hence does not put the talam at all. It takes the likes of Usha mami to play in tandem with him and that too competently.
Sajeev's way of singing is definitely engaging and i look forward to listening more of his music.
