It was a wonderful concert. Each piece was rendered with a lot of traditional classical sangatis and with a lot of bhavam. The submain kEdAragauLa was started in a racy fashion. The AlApanai was developed very elegantly and with a lot of mesmerising sangatis. The kriti that was chosen came as a surprise. The song was rendered well followed by elaborate neraval and svarams at 'bhAgavata sEvalO baDaliyunnAvu'. The rendition of the tODi kriti was sedate and invoked a lot of bhavam and was very emotive. The main pUrikalyANi was majestic and rendered very well. The AlApanai was very elaborate and fitting the grand kriti that came up. The kriti was rendred with elaboratae neraval and svarams at 'panchAkshara linga rUpam prasanna rUpam'. The padam was rendred very well. The accompaniment provided by the violinist was very fitting and gelled well. The violinst showcased some very classical sangatis and gave fitting replies to the main artist. The mrudangist played with utmost anticipation and presented a nice tani.
