The vocalist's style of singing with a Open throated voice needs to be commended. The kritis were all nicely rendered. The accompanists were good and supportive through the concert.

Hi, there was one more kedaramish song with lines like "mEle viTThala, keLage viTThala, mEle keLage purandara viTThala" ... it was just after gaurI manOharI I think. (And are you sure it was gaurI manOhari? I suspected it was, but I never felt sure.)
I didn't know venkaTAcalanilayam was Purandaradasa's (it's in Sanskrit, so I never suspected it)! I was also surprised to see there was no niraval in the concert.
The concert demonstrated the huge versatality of great Purandaradasa, pitAmahA of karnATaka sangIta!
