It was a very good concert. The choice of the songs and the rAgams were all very good and refreshing. Choice of Arabhi for sub main and kAmbhOji was indeed very interesting. All the rAgA sketches were all wonderful and filled with absolutely classical phrases. The kritis were all rendered with absolute precision. The neraval and svarams were all measured and very nice. The mridangist was perfect and played absolutely in tandem with the main artist. The tani was nice as well.

It was a good concert.

I was hearing to mandAri varNam after a long time. It also been quite sometime since i heard mOhanam. With Eti janma midi hA being a personal favourite, it was a good concert all the way.

Sri Ravikiran sang well with a lot of bhavam and conviction towards traditional ideas. It was good to hear. With the guidance from his expert gurus, i m sure he will make it much bigger in future. Sri Ananthakrishnan gave very fitting replies and provided good support. Sri Balaji, the veteran on stage, was wonderful. He played in perfect tandem with the main artist.

I wish to place on record my appreciations for the sound setup as well.

Mantra and his family played perfect hosts. The venue, as we have experienced many times before, is just too good for a chamber concert and it was a lovely evening, to end with tasty home-made dinner.

Day of favourites for me: mantra's house as venue, Eti janma midi hA, rItigauLa, paras javaLi, arisi upma, thenga chutney :)

It was a wonderful concert.

The AlApanais of danyAsi and shankarAbaraNam were both exceptional and touching. The kritis were all rendered with utmost ease and a lot of bhavam. The swarams were all measured and played in tune with the kriti that was being played. The tAnam in shankarAbaraNam was much enjoyable too.

The accompanists were good.

Right in the middle of hot summer, the lean season for the music world, this concert was a welcome change.

It was a good concert. This disciple of Smt. R Vedavalli, presented a good and enjoyable concert. All kritis were presented in a crisp fashion with bhavam. The renditions were apt. The manodarmam parts were all measured and in tune with the kriti that was being presented. The accompanists were good as well.
