It was nice concert. Though, organised in a rather-tough-to-reach place, the turn out was quite high, possibly due to local residents.

The AlApanais of aTANA, bEgaDa and kIravANi were all very good. The svarams in rItigauLa were nice. The neraval and svarams in bEgaDa was good also. The kIravANi svarams were nice, and a korappu in dvi-kAlam was presented. The short sketches of AbhEri (with suddha dhivatham) and nIlAmbari were quite inspiring as well. All the kritis were rendered very beautifully. A nice song selection and excellent execution. All the accompanists did a good job in making the concert a completely fulfilling one.

Smt Mala presented a real nice concert with pieces carefully chosen and rendered well. The concert began with a brisk rendition of the kalyANi varNam. The rItigauLa piece was played well with svarams at 'madi sEkaran maganE' that were well structured.

The rare paras kriti was rendered very beautifully. The cintAmaNi piece was moving. It was quite a surprise to hear two shyAmA sAstri kritis in a concert, back to back. It was quite a thing to listen both. The kAmbhOji AlApanai was very elaborate and rendered with all the nuances that make the rAgam very enjoyable. The kriti was rendered with neraval and elaborate round of svarams and korappu.

The main tODi AlApanai was done very beautifully. The kriti was rendered with an elaborate round of svarams and korappu, all of which were enjoyable. The rAgamAlikA and the tillAnA were good also.

Smt Mala had carefully planned and chosen pieces. She rendered all the pieces well and made the concert very enjoyable. She was very ably supported by her accompanists.

Sri Srinivasa Rao on the fiddle was good in accompanying thro' the concert. All his replies to the AlApanai, neraval and svarams were all very good and stood up to that of the main artist.

Sri Ananthakrishnan played with good anticipation and all his patterns matched what the main artists played. He was ably supported by Sri Anirudh. The tani they shared was extensive and enjoyable also.

The AlApanais and svarams were are nicely done. There were even some kaNakku svarams in the kalyANi. It was a nice experience to hear a dvijAvanti AlApanai after a long time. The kriti renditions were good and the usual aura he creates were all present at the concert. The high amplification for the supporting singers, made the voice of the main artist, inaudible at many places. The accompanists were good and played a supportive role.

The AlApanais of shanmukhapriyA and mOhanam were nice. svarams were all good as well. a nicely balanced list as well. The short sketch of bangALa was nice and it was quite a tricky thing to accomplish well. a young violinst with promising talent for the future. The accompanists were good as well.

very nice concert. The AlApanais of sarasAngi, kAnaDa and bhairavi were all very good. The way he started each of the rAgams were absolutely unambigous. The svara patterns were all nicely structured.

It was nice concert with a beautiful selection of kriti and neat execution. The svarams for hamsadvani were crisp. The AlApanai for varALi was done extensively. The kriti with neraval and svarams was well rendered. The karnATaka kApi AlApanai was a nice surprise as well. It was done in a scholarly fashion. The main kAmbhOji AlApanai was done well, with many phrases reminding of MLV's renditions. The kriti was rendered with nice round of neraval and svarams. Had to leave during the nIlAmbari.
Accompanists were good and made it a good concert.

I reached late and had to leave early as well. Whatever i listened was nice and enjoyable. The AlApanai of janaranjani for smaraNE sukhamu was nice with beautiful svarams. The main tODi AlApanai for gajavadanA sammOdita was also beautifully done. Sri Krishna also rendered vA murugA vA - bEgaDa, naDamADi tirindu - kAmbhOji, sadAsiva kumArA - suddha sAvEri.

May i request somebody who was present thro' the concert write the full list and write their comments.

Smt Suguna Purushottaman is one of the few musicians of the old guard who still continue to entertain us with classical music of the highest order. All AlApanais were sheer display of her display. The neraval and svarams were all well structured and were enjoyable. She started her concert with a invocatory slOkam. The rare kEdAragauLa varNam was presented beautifully. The bahudAri piece had an interesting round of svarams at 'srI vAsudEva' and 'brOvabAramA' successively.

The simmEndramadyamam AlApanai was short and sweet. The kriti was rendered with an elaborate round of svarams at line begining 'nIlAmbikA' in the anupallavi. The detailed dEvagAndhAri AlApanai was done in a very un hurried fashion. The kriti was rendered in a moving fashion with all its three caraNams and an elaborate round of svarams at the pallavi line. The vasanta kriti was nicely rendered with the required stresses on the svarAksharams in its chittai svarams.

The main tODi AlApanai was rendered very elaborately, including all the enjoyable phrases adding to its beauty. The kriti was rendered amazingly with neraval and svarams at 'sthambamu lOpala nuNDaga lEdA'. The nIlAmbari AlApanai was good. The kEdAragauLa kriti was rendered in an unhurried fashion. The kuranji piece was rendered beautifully. Smt Suguna Purushottaman announced that she rendered the brindavana sAranga piece, in memory of Sri Yagnaraman. The piece described the past memories of the person and also created a sober mood. All the other tukkadas were well rendered also.

Smt Poorna Vaidhyanathan on the violin was good in parts. The sound system had the violin playing a little loud. Sri Vaidhyanathan played well for the full concert. His tani was nice as well.

The concert began with a short sketch of darbAr. The varNam was rendered neatly followed by the asAvEri kriti. The kEdAram AlApanai was short. The rare kriti was rendered well with a round of svarams at 'kEdArEshvaram visvEshvaram'. The varALi AlApanai was good and wholesome. The grand kriti was rendered amazingly well with neraval and svarams at 'sAgara shayanuni tyAgarAjanutuni'. The bEgaDa AlApanai was short and crisp. The kriti was followed by a quick round of svarams. The anandhabhairavi piece which followed had a sparkling cittai svaram as well.

The main kalyANi AlApanai was sung well. The kriti was rendered well with an elaborate round of svarams and korappu at the pallavi line. The padam was amazing. The jAvaLi and the other pieces which followed were all good also.

Smt Nandita gave a nice concert with a lot of classical pieces, true to her lineage and keeping the tradition going.

Smt Poorna on the violin was good in all parts of the concert. She gave good replies to the main artists and was very supportive in playing for the kritis.

Sri Kumar was his usual self, playing in accordance to is being presented. He played with good anticipation. His tani in a not-so-popular tALam was good as well.
